This IS PODCAST!!!!!

okay folks:

As promised, here is the reel cafe episode 1. Please, leave us some feedback. Like it, hate it? What works, what doesn't? I am so glad we were able to complete this project; now we are hungry to continue and improve upon it. Thanks for tuning in everyone, looking forward to completing more episodes regularly (SPOILER: we already have more audio recorded). We are currently looking into embedding the podcast in the margin, or linking to a separate page. but in the meantime...

PODCAST!!!!

Update/notes: the fountain has in fact fallen out of my top 3, but remains in my top 5.

Good job guys, I enjoyed the podcast, made my ride to work more enjoyable so I'm looking forward to more. Great intro song, hoping for more catchy acoustic originals for each segment ;) I do wish your focus was more on the undervalued movies and the newer movie reviews were secondary. I'm not saying I don't want to hear your thoughts on Captain America or whatever new movie's out, but those reviews are more accessible. I've never even heard of the Fountain, and now it's on my list to see. I think the critics are off on a lot of great movies, but sometimes they rave about one and it still flys under radar. 'The Boy In The Striped Pajamas' was one of those. Great movie and no one saw it. People are slowly starting to see it now, years later, through word of mouth. I love the idea of taking obscure and under appreciated films and bringing them to our attention. And what about older movies that are still thematically relevant today, or movies we saw as kids and are worth revisiting for one reason or another. I'd also love to hear about documentaries and independent films that just go on limited release and are hard to find info on. I heard 'Sarah's Key' was amazing and a great excuse to hit up an independent theater in North Miami Beach... and I'm in shock that there's 2 English Lit Majors on this trio and no plans to review the recent 'Atlas Shrugged' movies that philosophy and lit buffs alike have been waiting over 5 decades for. Who is John Galt men, lol, your listeners would like to know. One survey found Atlas Shrugged ranked #2 under the Bible as the book that most influenced people's lives. The Road Less Traveled was #3. Anyways, I'm sure you've had many of these ideas, just saying that's what I'd like more of. You guys all sound really comfortable and natural though and I'm looking forward to the next podcast.

I agree with Debbie, thumbs up on cast#1, and lets support the great movies that don't have the huge budget and big stars, ones that just took a lot of hard work and dedication and tell a great story. I need some new ideas for movie rentals too, and not of the Captain America variety. I've never been able to get through Atlas Shrugged (the book) and hate when I'm having dinner with a bunch of intellectuals and they start debating over Ayn Rands philosophy's. I had no idea there was a movie... I definitely need to see that. A movie, even if it is multiple parts or 10 hours or whatever, is way more tolerable than that crazy 5000 pg book. Can I take back my Singin in the Rain vote? Please note Debbies above compliment sandwich as every comment you ever see/hear from her will be stated in that fashion. =P Oh, and I wish Chris good luck on his podcast getting him laid.

And foreign films too, like City of God, one of my favorites. People get put off too easily by subtitles but we shouldn't just assume the best movies are American.
